I always like to have a small pen with me. I prefer one of aluminum or steel construction that can perform double duty as a small striking weapon, similar to a Kubotan.
This Small light weight, bolt action style pen and pencil.
Work the bolt down to expose the pen, push it all the way to the top to expose the pencil lead. The lead tips are screw on and after some use the will become pretty bold, but not a big deal. The pencil part is a nice touch and eliminates the need to carry both.
It has spring action to retract the pen and refills are available. The thing I like the best is with it's size of just over 4 " it can be carried under the flap of buttoned shirt pocket or in the front pocket of slacks or cargo shorts.
CONCLUSION
Is this a quality product? YES
Is it affordable? YES (MSRP $120, mine was $85.00 on Amazon)
Do I recommend it? YES
